Year 8 homework for Friday 23rd March

I know that all of you have been slogging on with preparations for the concert so here is a nice easy one to help consolidate your knowledge on Mary, Lady Jane Grey and Elizabeth.

There is this brilliant series on TV at the moment called ‘She-wolves’ which is a historical analysis of the role of queens in the history of England. I would like you to watch the episode on Elizabeth and co which you can get to by following this link:

If you really enjoy it (and if you don’t, why not?) you might want to watch the two previous episodes which are on medieval queens. You will be able to find the links on the BBC website.

You might find this link interesting as it tells you about Dr Helen Castor who is the historian who produces this programme. That could be you in 10 years if you put your mind to it.
