I want you to do two things:

(a) Finish watching the YouTube film we were watching in class today. It can be found at

(b) It is time for some revision just to keep your memory ticking over. Let me take you back to a time when you were young and carefree, namely when you were in Year 10 and GCSE examinations seemed but a dimly-perceived thundercloud on a far horizon. We studied the Russian revolution back then in those sunlit uplands of your childhood. Time for a flashback test. I want you to prepare for a test essay for the first History period next week, the title of which is:

How was it that the Provisional Government was able to take power in Russia in Feb 1917 but not hold it beyond October 1917?
